Diagnosis: Membranous Glomerulonephritis - Lupus Nephritis Class V

This case was diagnosed as membranous GN, with a high suspicion of lupus nephritis. After confirming the diagnosis of SLE, it is confirmed class V lupus nephritis.

This case is very interesting because of the very prominent subepithelial deposits, still identifiable with light microscopy. In our experience, all cases with such prominent epithelial deposits have been shown to be lupus nephritis.

See the chapter: Lupus Nephritis... of our Tutorial.
