Clinical information

A 3-year-old boy with a history of multicystic renal dysplasia, diagnosed by imaging studies, develops end-stage kidney disease. He was transplanted from a cadaveric donor and during the transplant a nephrectomy of one of the kidneys was performed, which is enlarged and with multiple cysts (Figures 1 and 2).

There are no other clinical alterations, normal mental development, there are no malformations or cysts in other organs. There is no family history of kidney disease.
